Today was a crazy day. We walked around Florence and did some shopping. We then took a bus to the train station and headed to Venice. Once there we took a water bus to Saint Mark's Square. From there it was a short walk to the Hotel Colombina where we will be staying for the next 2 nights.

We explored Venice in the evening and then ate at a restaurant recommended by our hotel. We had a great dinner.

Afterward, Nancy and I took a long walk. Saint marks Square was practically underwater due to the combination of the high tide and the super moon. People were sloshing around in the water. What a sight!!

Donna I love your Blog.Sorry about your sister's wallet.Paul had 500 E stolen out of his pocket in Naples.Same MO.Someone trying to help him with luggage and another picks the pocket.I enjoyed your photos and stories.Almost felt like I was with you!Don't you just love Italy???When I went to Venice in May I stayed at Hotel Columbia.Great spot.Confusing with waters and bridges to get your feel for where you are.There is great take out place right near Hotel.You see everyone with Chinese take out cartons.It is all pasta.Long line but worth the wait.Think it was called a man's name like Anthony.Ask front desk.Don't drool over Allesandro.He was one hot receptionist.We had room with canal view.Saw bridge os Sigh.You may want to visit Doge Palace and cross the bridge into the prison.Must go to Harry;s Bar.It off ST.Mark's to the right.This is where Hemmingway sat and wrote.Have a Bellini.Enjoy.I will keep reading your Blog and want to talk when you get home.Love,Barbara
